About Dr. Major

Kevin M. Major, MD, FACS, is a board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon with over 13 years of experience. He currently serves the community of Ventura County on the team of providers at Coastal Vascular Center, which has three state-of-the-art clinics in Oxnard, Camarillo, and Simi Valley, California. 

Dr. Major graduated from the University of San Diego in 1992 with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in business administration. He went on to earn his medical degree in 1998 from the Medical College of Ohio (now known as the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences) in Toledo.

Dr. Major relocated to Southern California for his post-graduate training, completing a residency in general surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he also underwent additional training for surgical critical care. He also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

Dr. Major holds certification from the American Board of Surgery in surgery, surgical critical care, and vascular surgery. He’s also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Prior to joining the team at Coastal Vascular Center, Dr. Major served as the chairman of the surgery department at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California. He retains privileges at Community Memorial Hospital, in addition to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and Pleasant Valley, Ventura County Medical Center and Adventist Health Simi Valley, all in California.
